Internship offer - April 2019!

Starting from April 2019 we are looking for another intern for a period of 3 months (min 20hs/week) in the field of cultural events & project management.

Are you the lucky one?

AfricAvenir International e.V. supports the creation of structures that enable an equal partnership between Africa and Europe. This can be seen achieved through educational and cultural projects, events and publications, film screenings, among other things. 

This internship offers an insight on how NGO's work, starting from accounting, design, publications, management of social media channels all the way to organizing conferences, inviting speakers, and writing reports on the achieved results. You will also participate in events  concerning political & educational work acquiring an intensive insight into the work of our cooperation with our partners. There is a strong team behind that will help your everyday work, and answer any doubt or question. 

Unfortunately, we cannot pay for the internship.

 

Are you...?

Enrolled/completed studies in Cultural Sciences, Social Sciences, Humanities, etc?

Do you have experience organizing events?

Do you like research and keeping updated?

Are you interest in the relations between Africa and Europe? And in topics such as African Renaissance, African perspectives, Critical Whiteness, etc.

 

Would you describe yourself as independent, responsible and organized?

Or are you more self-motivated, resilient and flexible? Tell us more about you! 

 

Other Skills

Good computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

You can communicate in German, French or/and English (other languages are a always a plus)

 

Some of the tasks

Supporting current events by researching, obtaining offers, maintaining databases and mailing lists

Draft texts for flyers/ newsletters/ financial applications

Communication with cooperation partners (cultural institutions, schools, embassies)

Support of team meetings, among other exciting challenges and tasks!
