Projects in Germany
This page features the latest news about the projects implemented by the German section of AfricAvenir. On the occasion of the new "Green Economy paradigm" as discussed in Rio+20 today and particularly Germany's “Energetic Turn” (Energiewende) introduced in the wake of Fukushima, AfricAvenir will take a closer look at the social, ecological and economic consequences of Green Technologies on Africa. Does the Energetic Turn also hold positive potential for Africa's development or will the continent experience a new “resource curse”, which will maintain and perhaps even extend both Africa's poverty amid its wealth of resources and its deficiencies in times of abundance?
