The training courses also enable teachers to respond appropriately and in a discrimination-sensitive manner to any dynamics that may arise in the classroom when dealing with these topics. The training courses create the basis for developing teacher-specific training concepts. They last around 4 hours.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We look at a global topic from a decolonial perspective. The following topics are covered:<\/p>\n<p>1. Social and economic inequality \/ global production and consumption<br \/>\n2.\u00a0Climate justice<br \/>\n3. Flight &amp; migration<br \/>\n4. Gender and stereotypes<\/p>\n<p>The training courses each deal with a specific global topic and its relationship to colonial continuities. Two workshops take place in parallel: a workshop for parents and a workshop for their children.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In the parent workshops, parents are encouraged to discuss complex global issues with their children. Topics include everyday consumption, climate protection, gender roles, flight and migration, and racism. Parents are empowered to recognize and deal with the effects of colonialism on their children&#8217;s everyday lives. The ability to support their children in their emotional and cognitive learning processes is strengthened through exchange with other parents and with the instructing speakers.
