On Thursday, 3rd December 2009 at 9 pm<\/b> Haus der Kulturen der Welt, Berlin invites to an international poetic tussle at LIFELINES #2 Nuruddin Farah. What literary paths do young Somali wordsmiths follow at home or in the diaspora? Are there connections with the rhythmic poetry tradition which Somalia is so renowned for? What spaces or worlds of words are generated in the creative encounter with Berlin\u2019s poetry scene?<\/p>\n

Born in 1989 in Somalia, prizewinning poet, social critic and performance poet Warsan Shire won several international Poetry Awards. She lives in London.<\/p>\n
The artist, performer and curator Kinsi Abdulleh<\/b> was born in Somalia and lives in London. Her unique work combines stories, objects found in archives and daily life with photographic imagery, textiles, audio and film, using both space and language.<\/p>\n
Tanja D\u00fcckers<\/b> writes for various newspapers and magazines. Her publications include novels, radio plays, stories, poems and essays.<\/p>\n
Rapper, singer, spoken word performer, journalist, write rand actor, Jan Kage released his solo album \u201cWiderspr\u00fcche\u201d in 2006.<\/p>\n
