AfricAvenir is very proud to screen the following multi award-winning short film on the 7th of November within our children’s programme: ‘Khumba’ by Anthony Silverston
Khumba

When a young zebra born with only half his stripes is rejected by his father and his herd, he befriends a sassy wildebeest and a flamboyant ostrich. With a villainous leopard on their tail, the trio set out on a daring quest to find the legendary waterhole where the first zebras got their stripes.
About Director:
Anthony Silverston is a partner and Head of Development at Triggerfish Animation Studios in South Africa. He is director and co-writer of Khumba, and was also one of the writers and producers of Zambezia. In 2014, he was selected to be on the Jury of the prestigious animation festival in Annecy. He also holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons) which has come in handy less and less over the years.
