The panelists will address how the hypervisuality of “Islam” interacts with the invisibilization of the alarmingly growing rise of Afrophobia in Sweden and Denmark. Anti-Black sentiments are becoming part of mainstream hegemonic constructions of belonging.

Also taking place in Copenhagen from June 5-7 sponsored by the Danish Arts Foundation, this festival is organized by Art Labour Archives, a decolonial transdisciplinary and indisciplinary curatorial initiative based in Berlin. Since 2012, BE.BOP has had an international impact through presentations in major cities across three continents.
