In her film Sucki, Priscillia M. Manjoh explores yet another trajectory that the diasporic lives of African migrants take, in the context of geographic displacement and asylum seeking. Sucki the main character negotiates his masculinity embedded in patriarchy in a democratic multicultural German society of feminine structural inclusion. Manjoh also introduces the role of African belief systems in supporting the survival of her female characters in the battle for love. All these emphasize the debilitating circumstances portrayed in the movie.
