After-Vernissage of the Exhibition “Giving Contours to Shadows” with Ntone Edjabe (Chimurenga) and M3NSA (FOKN bois), 24. May 2014, 21.00pm, Prachtwerk

This saturday evening, 24. May 2014, SAVY Contemporary presents the opening of the exhibtion “Giving Contours to Shadows” followed by an after-vernissage party with Ntone Edjabe (Chimurenga) and M3NSA (FOKN bois) at Prachtwerk.

“Giving Contours To Shadows” takes its cue from the Glissantian conception that History cannot be left in the hands of historians only. In that sense, the project explores the ways in which artists, curators and thinkers relate to their own epoch, to times past and to the drawing of prospective trajectories, thus weaving alternatives into existing narratives: from embodiment practices to the pre-writing of History.

The after-vernissage program will open with a concert by M3NSA, followed by a dj performance by editor and DJ Ntone Edjabe!
