AfricAvenir's Cheikh Anta Diop Library
AfricAvenir's "Cheikh Anta Diop Library", named after the famous Senegalese scholar, was opened in 1993 and hosts more than 5.000 volumes. The majority of the books have been written by Cameroonian or African authors on topical questions of the country and the continent. The library is situated in the direct neighbourhood of more than 50 public and private schools and is an invaluable resource for university students and researchers accross the country, but especially, it is a much frequented place by countless pupils from the nearby approximately 50 public and private schools who every afternoon populate the reading room.
